La Naissance de Venus (The Birth of Venus)

Figural set for Naissance de Venus includes 4 intricately-cut cupids, a mini-puzzle
in two interlocking parts of a dolphin-and-rider, and my signature piece.
The rider's hands and feet form the knobs holding him to the dolphin.
A dropout cupid naturally joins the group...

This image almost seems designed for a puzzle. The matching colors and indistinct edges and busy activity make it much more challenging than the count of its pieces. The detail, realism and wash of color in the print makes the puzzle a truly interesting challenge, rather than the "polar bear in a snowstorm"-type puzzle that is more repetitive than challenging.
